Primer Red is a dark red Chalk Paint® color found in almost every culture. From Venetian palaces to Vietnamese temples, where red soil was plentiful and relatively easy to obtain. Primer Red is ideal for rustic pieces or as a base for refined colors such as Château Gray or Versailles. It is also a wonderful base to use gilding wax or gold leaf.
